When you're a leader, you really have to put yourself out there and it takes an immense amount of courage.
Hi, my name is Phil Chun. I'm the founder of Polaris Leadership Consulting, and we love to work with organizations to develop their managers and work one-on-one with executives.
Having great managers can make or break any organization. Investing in management and those skills that are required for effective managers is an incredibly important thing to do, whether it be teaching them how to have accountability conversations or delegate effectively, investing in managers is incredibly important.
One of the ways that I help leaders create an environment where their team members are excited to come to work every day is helping leaders be really clear with their expectations and where the organization is going.
My personal belief is that every person who is a part of a team or comes to work isn't necessarily looking to be happy, but they want to feel fulfilled, productive, and like they're a part of something. And so if a leader can provide clarity on how to reach those goals and what those goals are, it can be really helpful for the team.
